CA Asish Kumar Das is a Chartered Accountant with over three decades of professional experience in finance, accounting, financial management and corporate operations. He has held senior finance and management positions across prominent organisations, including Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Braithwaite & Co. Ltd. and other organisations, bringing extensive experience in financial controls, governance and risk management.
His professional career includes significant leadership roles at BHEL, where he served in senior management positions including Additional General Manager and General Manager. He has also served as Director – Finance at Braithwaite & Co. Ltd., with responsibility for financial management and related corporate functions.
With his extensive experience in senior finance roles, his areas of expertise include internal audit, financial controls, review of accounting systems and processes, risk assessment, compliance, budgeting and financial reporting. He brings a strong understanding of large organisational structures, operational processes and financial governance, enabling him to identify control gaps and recommend practical measures for strengthening internal controls.
As Internal Audit Manager, he is involved in planning and supervising internal audit assignments, reviewing business processes and financial controls, identifying operational and financial risks, and ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
He holds a B.Com. (Hons.) in Accountancy from Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration, an M.Com. from the University of Calcutta, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
